History

Pigs Arse Airlines flew its inaugural service in November 1999 to Ceduna, South Australia in Piper Lance VH-INR.  Since those early days, we have carried over 12 different passengers to as many destinations throughout Australia.  Our service and in-flight catering is legendary amongst health inspectors worldwide.  Our safety standards are second to last, and we are the envy of both Cubana and Aeroflot in this respect.

Another fine landing - a testament to the high levels of skill at Pigs Arse Airlines

Many of our non Australian passengers often wonder how the airline got its name.  In the early days, the chief loadmaster and dispatcher used the expression as a rebuke to the chief pilot when he suggested painting the aircraft bright pink.  Translated into English, the common Australian expression 'Pig's Arse!!' means 'I'd rather not, thank you'.

Recent Flights have included Coober Pedy via William Creek services, day trips to Kangaroo Island (known locally as Glameroo Island), and our most recent expedition to view the total solar eclipse near Lyndhurst.
